Ken Mitchell

President & CEO

Ken Mitchell is the President and CEO of Mitchell Group Investments Inc., with over 30 years of experience in the construction, hospitality, and retail industries.

Under Ken’s leadership, Mitchell Group has developed a well diversified portfolio of assets, including industrial, commercial, and office properties; plus residential construction and retail businesses. Mitchell Group has completed a number of successful, high-quality real estate projects throughout Greater Vancouver, British Columbia, and Calgary, Alberta, comprising more than 550,000 square feet of office, retail, and hospitality space.

Ken ventured into the wireless telecommunications industry in 1994 with the creation of Cellcom Wireless. Over the next 20 years Ken built the company into Canada’s largest exclusive wireless dealership, before venturing into the U.S. wireless business with the creation of Wireless Evolution.

Ken has also continued to expand the development and property management portfolio of Mitchell Group with the construction of the Langley 200 Business Centre and has acquired substantial land holdings for future development across the Fraser Valley.

Ryan Smyth, CPA

CFO Mitchell Group & CEO Wireless Evolution

Ryan Smyth brings more than 20 years of business experience across public accounting, media, telecom, retail, and real estate sectors, and has successfully led assignments in Vancouver and Toronto; Sydney, Australia, and various major U.S. cities.

Ryan holds a Bachelor's of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University and a Chartered Professional Accountant designation from the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario. He has also completed the prestigious General Management Program from Harvard Business School and became an alumnus of the university.

Prior to joining Mitchell Group, Ryan spent close to nine years at Rogers Communications Inc. in a variety of finance and general management roles of increasing responsibility.

In addition to providing overall financial leadership as CFO of Mitchell Group, Ryan spends the majority of his time as CEO of Wireless Evolution and has aggressively expanded the company’s operations from start-up phase to an organization with more than 400 employees across over 75 locations.

Jacilyn O'Shea, MBA

Director of Development

Jacilyn O’Shea joined the retail division of Mitchell Group in 2004 as a sales representative for Cellcom Wireless. Upon graduating from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor's of Business degree in 2010, Jacilyn progressed from front-line retail to Reporting and Analytics Manager of Cellcom.

Over the next several years, Jacilyn transitioned from the Canadian wireless division to Wireless Evolution, Mitchell Group’s newly acquired U.S. wireless company. As a member of the Wireless Evolution team, Jacilyn was appointed Accessory Manager for the company's 75 stores.

In 2014, Jacilyn graduated with an MBA from California State University Long Beach with a 4.0 GPA, earning the Delta Sigma Pi scholarship key and inductions into the Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi honour societies.

Upon graduation Jacilyn returned to Mitchell Group as the Director of Development and manages the land acquisition and development component of the company for office, commercial and industrial projects.

Ryan O'Shea, MBA

Director of Residential Development

Ryan O’Shea spent seven years in the education system as a secondary school teacher after graduating from the University of British Columbia with Bachelor’s degrees in Human Kinetics and Education. Ryan’s interest in business led him to complete his MBA at California State University Long Beach in 2014, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and received the Delta Sigma Pi scholarship key for having the highest GPA in his MBA program.

Ryan was also inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma honour societies for his high academic standing in the business program. Following business school, Ryan joined Mitchell Group as Director of Residential Development and is also the Vice-President of Miracon Development. In his spare time, Ryan serves on the Board of Directors of the Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation Board and is also the President of Boxing BC.

Marly DeVera

Accounting Manager

Marly DeVera is the Accounting Manager at Mitchell Group with more than 30 years of experience working in various accounting positions. Marly has been with Mitchell Group since 1995, when she began managing the financial division of Cellcom Wireless. Marly currently oversees and manages the financial division for multiple Mitchell Group companies.

Marg Mithrush

Property and Leasing Manager

Marg Mithrush is the Property and Leasing Manager at Mitchell Group and has been with the company since 2000. Marg began as administrator and office manager at Cellcom Wireless and is currently the lease administrator for both the Langley 200 Business Centre and Wireless Evolution. Marg is also the Property Manager of the Langley 200 Business Centre and Office Manager for the Mitchell Group of Companies.
